This was our first Duvine trip, which has led to many more. Duvine is truly an incredible company who will make your cycling adventure unforgettable and wanting to complete many more.
This was the classic Tuscany Tour which may be one of Duvine’s most incredible tours. It is a level 3 making it the perfect challenge without it being too difficult. The views, hotels, food and wine in this area cannot be beat!
Each morning starts off with a mouthwatering breakfast buffet that you indulge in to fuel your body for the day.
The rides vary in length and elevation each day depending on whether it is a local loop or a destination ride to your next hotel. Regardless, you don’t just hop on your bike and ride all day. It’s about the experience. The key component of Duvine cycling is stopping for coffee and ice cream along the way. Riding through UNESCO designated World Heritage Sites, climbing up to craggy medieval fortresses, then enjoying an endless downhill through the olive groves.
And let’s not forget about the most amazing lunches along the way. Whether it is a picnic at large Benedictine monastery, a home cooked meal at an olive mill or a gorgeous tasting lunch at the Brunello winery, your riding effort are highly rewarded.
One of the best parts of a Duvine trip is that everything is taken care of. All your accommodations and meals are booked and reserved. You just need to show up and enjoy the experience. The hotels chosen are all unique, absolutely luxurious and off the beaten path.
We got to stay at a renovated fortress dating back to the XIth century, located on a hilltop overlooking the entire Val d'Orcia. An old village converted into a hotel, spa and winery set amidst 685 acres of pristine woods and Chianti hills, acclaimed for its discreet luxury.
The spas were a true oasis of wellness and relaxation where we could fully regenerate our bodies after a long ride.
The dinners included home cooked meals with wine parings or dining experiences at Michelin starred restaurants.
